Whilst many of us have at least a stylised idea of what the well dressed Samurai wore out and about, whether to the battlefield or the Geisha house, I thought that a little sketch of the 'wardrobe' might be a topic of interest. Even to those of us who study the JSA there is sometimes an element of mystery or misunderstanding about those matters peripheral to learning to apply the Japanese sword in the correct fashion .
