However, my friends, please bear in mind: that is ALL he does, all he has ever done since he was 4 years old. I dare say - it is ALL he will ever do. He is being trained to be a professional Wushu competitor/teacher - which is a job in China.

You have caught my meaning exactly - I know some of these fellows who were brought up in these Wushu training schools, and it's just their life. I mean they basically learn NOTHING else ~ e.g, they almost can't read a newspaper in Chinese. I'm not joking.
