I don't know much about Chief Justice Rehnquist, and reading opinion excerpts on Yahoo it doesn't seem like we would have gotten along very well, but like Sapper6 says, any man who would undertake such a duty for his country deserves our respect at the very least.

I agreed with him most all of the time (you really have to read his entire arguments rather than snippets). Rest in Peace.

Anyone that reaches that level in the Judicial should be respected regardless of his particular views.
