Even though I want Brady Quinn to succeed, I feel badly for Charlie Frye. Here's a fairly talented kid who was once a first round draft pick, earned the starting position, but just yesterday, demoted to second string and now traded as a bit of sixth round fodder.

There was no question that Quinn was eventually going to start, since neither Anderson nor Frye could hold a candle to his ability, but I honestly thought that Romeo Crennel would bring Quinn along more slowly.

Our problem (speaking as a transplanted Clevelander) is the same problem that we've had all the way back to the end of the Kosar era: lack of an effective offensive line. It doesn't matter how talented the rest of the offense may or may not be, without a good line you've got zip. Yeah, I got nothing against Frye, never really got to see what he could do here, because he's never gotten enough protection to work effectively.
