buddy rich and the martial arts

buddy rich (the drummer) was a black belt in karate to my knowledge.does anyone know where i could read up on his martial arts training? i hav loocked on the web but have olny found small blurbs from interviews with him where he talked about his training.

Buddy Rich studied Goju under Aaron Banks. Banks was a student of Peter Urban. That's all I know about Rich.

i read that buddy got his name in some hall of fame in japan or china for something to do with his martial arts.
