Reading through the article, I exhibited no surprise that the low level corporate hacks and stooges in the store handled the matter in entirely the wrong way. When a society begins to turn a shade of fascist at the top, the attitudes eventually percolate down to the Jobs-Worths near the bottom.

EDIT: That last was unfair and glib. I reckon those swimming at that aspirant-but-still-near-the-bottom level have always had sour and totalitarian dispositions .

EDIT 2: Nope, still unfair, can't tar them all with the same brush after all.
