Has anyone heard of a tsubaeito for strength training and where to find one? It looks like a giant baseball bat. Or could it be a misspelling of suburito?

A suburito is a heavy bokken. I've never heard of a tsubaeito - where did you hear that term?

The tools I'm aware of are suburito (which is just a very heavy bokken used for strength training) and furibo (which requires a specific technique to swing).

Both are available on Seido Shop (Heavy Bokken for Suburi - Suburito & Furibo - Made in Japan ) which makes high-quality equipment for traditional Japanese martial arts.

From a martial artist I briefly met. I think he probably misspelled it. I haven't been able to find one that looks like what he showed me. The furibo is the closest looking thing.

What are your plans with the suburtetbaeieto?
