Well, been doing Iaido for about 2 months now…which is absolutely nothing. Studying MSR, and working hard on turning exercises, Noto, sayabiki, and now shohatto.

Shohatto wasn't bad the first 50 times, but I did it for about an hour and a half……I could barely walk the next day…..

Apart from its wonderful budo, the calorie burn in Omori ryu - done right as you say - must be huge. I wonder if anyone has gathered the data.
