It is traditional in our club that during July, all practise is outdoors. Last monday was the first such lesson.
It was also the first time I wore outdoor tabi. They were much more comfortable than I had anticipated. It's basically just a thin rubber sole to keep pine cones from sticking in your feet. I might start using them for running in the woods as well. I've noticed that running shoes make my knees hurt. Maybe this will be an improvement.
Anyway, the weather was nice, and the air was good. The place was pretty secluded so there were not too much bystanders watching. We practised mostly basic kihon. All in all it was a good workout.
