Koho tenkai... not quite there yet

Yesterday we practised outside of class with a couple of people. First we tried falling into a bridge. that went ok except for the first try. My spotters held on to my belt pretty strong so my back didn't go down but my shoulders did :) I was kinda folded in 2, the wrong way.

After that it went pretty well, going from having 2 spotters holding the belt to 1 spotter using 1 arm as a safety, to using no spotters.

We also tried combining that bridgefall with a jump, using 2 spotters holding the belt. We only tried it a couple of times each and it went well. Better than I expected anyway. At that point we decided to quit while we were ahead. We felt the muscles that we otherwise never used, and at some point you have to be careful to prevent injuries caused by fatigue.

More practise is needed of course. At least now I have enough confidence to practise the bridge falls by myself. Hopefulyl spring will arrive soon so that I can practise in the garden again.
