I'm often asked "Bob, what's it like upgrading MartialTalk?"

It's a feeling like no other.

Imagine, a world at peace. Calm. Soothing. Relaxing.

Everything goes smoothly.

Never a need to worry, or consider changing careers, or even to take up drinking.

Imagine fluffy bunnies, soft music, nirvana.

Ok, it's nothing like that.

At all.

It's more like this:

No. Wait. That would be less stressful.

Ok, it's like this:

No. Wait a minute. That's still not quite it.

Eh, not quite there yet, but getting closer.

Ah! This! This is what upgrading feels like:

But like this:

And that is what upgrading a vBulletin site 'feels' like.

Still....could be worse....we could be running PHPBB. I can't post those clips here. :D

Translating:

It feels sometimes like the odds are against you.
Hell, it bites.
You just want to run and hide.
But ***** on fire!
So you fight on because it's the honorable thing to do.
But you wonder if you shoulda grabbed that last drink after all.

;)

Yeah, an over tired smartarse way to test a few bits out before -I- pass out for the night. :)
Happy Turkey Day everyone. :)

The longest wait in the world is the wait for a remote router (or a remote server) to come back up!
