TSA Agent 'pranks' travelers by accusing them of holding cocaine

NOVEMBER 2--The Transportation Security Administration worker who earlier this year was canned for falsely claiming to have discovered cocaine in the luggage of travelers was a bomb appraisal officer who was supposed to be evaluating new screening equipment at the time he was pranking his unsuspecting targets, records show.

The remarkable thing is that he apparently thought he could get away with it. So does that mean he's just that stupid considering the wall to wall surveillance in that area, or did he reasonably expect that his superiors and coworkers would look the other way? Do we have a new "thin blue line" for TSA workers who cover for each others misdeeds?
