When I first started BJJ, I was sore all the time. For the first month or two, I was 100% focused on BJJ, and wasn't doing any type of TKD practice. A month or two in, and I decided to keep up on my TKD forms.

What I've found is that on mornings in which I practice TKD, I feel great going to BJJ class. On days when I don't, I'm usually still sore from the day before. I'm doing the forms at half intensity. I think the fact that I'm moving instead of sitting at my desk is what's helping me recover. Even something as simple as switching between closed-fist and knife-hand techniques helps my fingers loosen up from all the grips in gi class.
