Howdy folks, any of you had a chance to use the Spartan 24"*24"*1/2" thick mats ?

Any good or utter tripe?

I just bid on 2 sets, won 1 and got a second chance offer on another for a total of 15 pieces but if they are not too great I'll only take the 1 set.

This is for Home use only not for a studio and will be placed on oak flooring which will cushion a bit more than tile eh ;-)

The price is right, about $45 for the 15 pieces or about $22.50 for the original 6 I bid on and won.

BTW Dicks sporting goods, Modells and Sports Authority all seem to carry these.

Nia:wen Thank you

that size is too thin. pretty good for a playroom floor, but for actual training they don't stand up. i saw a peck at home depot the other day, and they're just too darn thin for the job.

They'll be OK for cushioning one's feet, or for the purpose of getting someone used to the foam rubber surface. However, for any kind of real impact absorption (taking falls, etc), they're not going to be enough.
