I've been wanting one of these for months and I finally broke down and ordered one today. I've been working out on my heavy bag with a kitchen timer and I've got to take my gloves off to set it. It's also hard to keep consistant on my one minute rest periods. Now I can crank my music up and just turn on my timer. Now if I can just get up everymorning and go five or six rounds it will be worth the money.

Other options are setting up your computer to time them, or burning a cd with it. (ex. 4 minute track, beep at start, and at 3 minute mark, as many tracks as your workout is with a extra at the end, or just set it to repeat)

Round timers are great, but expensive

That IS a great idea. I don't have a computer to burn tracks with but if I did I'd have gone that route. I really didn't want to spend the money but after using one of these at my school I broke down and got it. It's ten bucks cheaper through amazon than it was from ringside.

Anything that helps you train better, its well worth the money...If you actually do use it. Can you use it with sparring as well?
