12th Annual World Tai Chi & QiGong Day

Annapolis, MD - The Jing Ying Institute is pleased to announce that the
Twelfth Annual World Tai Chi & Qigong Day will be celebrated on Saturday,
April 24th 2010. This year, the Jing Ying Institute has arranged for free
workshops and demonstrations at the Annapolis Towne Centre. The event will
be held in front of P.F. Chang's China Bistro from 10:00 am to noon.

The activities will begin with a Chinese Lion Dance performance by Jing Ying
Institute of Arnold. There will be demonstrations of Tai Chi group forms,
solo forms and weapons followed by free mini-workshops on Tai Chi and
Qigong.

For more information and a detailed schedule of events in Annapolis, visit
www.JingYing.org. For information about World Tai Chi day and events around
the world, visit www.worldtaichiday.org.

Tai Chi is believed to boost the immune system, slow the aging process,
lower high blood pressure, relieve stress, and to improve balance and
coordination. In preparation for World Tai Chi/Qi Gong day and to help
promote information about Tai Chi, the Jing Ying Institute offers free
classes in April at their studio in Arnold.

What is World Tai Chi Day?

On the last Saturday of April each year at 10 am, beginning in the Earth's
earliest time zone, a peaceful soothing event will unfold, and change the
world forever, as it blooms around the Earth throughout the entire day--time
zone by time zone. Gently and effortlessly the world will breathe together
in a Tai Chi & QiGong relay of calm. We all may have experienced the
soothing calm of witnessing others doing Tai Chi or QiGong and on World Tai
Chi & QiGong Day the entire planet will have that opportunity.

World Tai Chi & QiGong Day is held in the same month as the United Nations
World Healing Day and Earth Day. Tai Chi & QiGong groups form mass
gatherings in public parks or other public places around the world at 10 am
(local time) to exhibit Tai Chi & QiGong to the community, the media, and
the world.

Some purposes for staging this historic event:

1. To educate the world to the profound implications Tai Chi & QiGong can
offer our personal, social and world health.

2. To thank Chinese culture for providing this powerful health science to
the world.

3. To improve international relations by joining Tai Chi & QiGong
practitioners around the world in celebration.
