What movement do you employ in your fireams training?

A good stance and draw stroke?

I do practice my draw stroke a lot, however I don't worry about the stance anymore. Where my feet are, and I try to change that up a lot, is where I'm going to be shooting from.

Also, I practice moving to cover, moving away, and moving towards the target.

I practice the 4-count, mod-iso, drawstroke but I try not to focus on the position of my feet. When you're moving (which is a necessity in combat-shooting), you're going to have to shoot from whatever position you happen to be in.

I've been doing alot of IDPA and 3-gun lately. While its not the real deal combative training, it does offer a venue to actually shoot while you move instead of being confined to a stall. Drawing from cover, Alot of movement in and out of shooting platforms, use of cover, shooting on the move, shooting at things moving, side to side, retreating, advancing, reloading. It makes static target shooting kind of boring in comparison. Next thing I'm going to try to get going is a force-on-force airsoft or paitball with some friends to have that stimulus of having things shot back at you.
