I purchased Larry Tatum's Histry & Traditions DVD as part of the When Kenpo Strikes series, but it's more of an interview of Larry's career in the arts.
What I'm looking for is a DVD with historical background information of the development of Kenpo from a historical perspective. I don't really care for from which side of the fence it comes from as far as Parker/Tracy/Chow/Mitose - I just want to glean as much information as possible from as many sources as I can.
I'd like to hear things like:
*Development of the Kenpo belt structure for whichever flavor the dvd is out for
*How/when/why the uniforms were switched from the judogi to the black uniform
*"Studio" vs. "dojo"
*Development of the colored belt system
*Development of the red bar + stripes vs. a bunch of stripes
*For the Parker flavors - coverage of the various splits in the Parker lineages
*What makes each flavor distinctive - EPAK vs. Tracy vs. TRACO vs. IKCA vs. SL4 vs. Kenpo 5.0 vs. Shaolin Kenpo, etc
*Protocols for classes, promotions, etc
