I've been training in kendo for several years now and from the old location to the new, this banner has been displayed in our school. I asked our GM what it said, and he only said that it was the Japanese federation that he was associated with at one point.

That is all that I can get when I ask him.

No, I don't think that he's hiding anything; why put the banner up if he was? He may just see it as unimportant, as he is no longer affiliated with them and none of our certs have their logo on it. He doesn't use it in his literature nor is it displayed on his website.

I'm just a curious guy in this regard. Here's the image:

The kanji underneath the logo reads: 国際刀道聯盟韓国本部

I have figured out what it says, roughly; International sword way federation South Korea head quarters.

I assume that it would have been the SK affiliate, just as the AUSKF is the US affilate of the FIK. But I would like to know more about who they are (were?).

Do they still exist? Were they merged with another org, or simply fade away, or something else?

If they do still exist in some form, do they have a website?

My thanks for any help in advance.

Daniel
