Proudly Presents an
Archery, Tomahawk and Knife Throwing Seminar

This seminar will cover learning the use of the bow and participants will have the opportunity to shoot with recurve, compound, crossbow and a korean horn bow. We will also cover how to throw with knives and spikes with rotation as well as the spear style throw. Finally we will get down to throwing the devastating Tomahawk.

That really sounds fun! The tomahawk reminds me of the scene in "The Patriot" where the father uses his tomahawk to finish off the last few red coats from their ambush. That scene really set the tone for the rest of the movie.

Sorry to drift. Tomahawks are cool!

Yes they are and they are and were an extremely devastating tool.

That is one of the down sides on seeing all of these great seminars on the internet in that some of them are just to far away. Who knows maybe in the future I might be out your way or you might be out this way.

Paul you should come on up to the great North and have some pointy fun with us! That is something that I know is dear to your heart!

he he....I like pointy things.. ;)

I think I am on vacation that week though; depends on the wifes work schedule (she is working on a time intensive case; we are planning a week but we can't determine whether it will be 20-27 or 27-3 until last minute). Plus, Marvin is hosting a SBG grappler sometime in August that I want to see. Maybe if I am not out of town, I'll go to both.

I'll call if I can make it! I used to be pretty decent at Archery and Tomahawk throwing with only a working knowledge of knife throwing...I could definatily touch up my skills and learn more! :)

On that note; What equiptment would one have to bring? Also, out of curiousity, who's Tim Mayette (think I've heard the name before)?

Hey Paul,

Tim Mayette is a long time IRT student and a fantastic archery expert. (he has been hunting and doing archery his whole life)

The equipment for the seminar is all provided unless you have your own bow which you specifically want to shoot. Then by all means bring it!
(it will just have to have an inspection)

Hopefully you can make it! Take care.

Well the seminar is over and it went great! We even got drenched during a Thunderstorm. Tim Mayette covered alot of Archery with the recurve, compound and crossbow. We did some Ax throwing but eventually the rain and thunderstorm became to much. Still it was a lot of shooting and throwing fun. :ultracool

I will post some pictures when I get the chance.

Definately we will do another one down the road. I am currently working on another projectile weapons seminar with handguns and shotguns. I have access to a couple of local experts and one even has a tactical range set up. (just a possibility at this moment)

However, throwing hawks, knives and other assorted stuff and shooting the bow is definately a passion of mine and we will definately do one in the future.
