Has anyone made their own striking shields? Rough dimensions 30"tall,20 "wide 5"thick?
I tried searching previous posts without success and was wondering if anyone had tried it and had any suggestions.

Hi Harold, the closest i have got to a striking shield is to build a Chinese type striking post in the backyard. I basically went to the local hardware store and bought a 6 foot wooden pole and a 30 metre rope and a bag of concrete. I first wrapped the rope around the pole from top to bottom and then dug a hole in the back yard and put the post in and filled it with cement etc. I use it for striking, blocking and kicking and i must say it is a great tool. Cheers, Paul

I have a striking post in my back yard. I was looking for the striking shield to be able to take with me when I train with others at the park. I have some store purchased focus mitts but was trying to find a homemade shield. The ones for sale run app $40.00 plus S&H so I was trying to save a little money
