It only opens the 'quick reply' window for me, no matter which 'reply' I choose

Thats normal. If you want the full editor, you'll have to hit the Go Advanced option once the reply box loads. AFAIK.

Are they running vBulletin 4.14? The 3 series worked differently (what we were on), and other software does it differently. I'll check the settings, but I'm pretty sure this is how 4 works.

Now, if anyone wants to drop a grand on me to switch to Xenforo and figure that out.....

Not sure what you noodles with but the reply window - while still pathetically small now offers all the appropriate options of smilies and quotes and such.

Everyones are. I had to rip out every addin from the old site to make this work without losing posts, members and attachments. Been at it since 9am Sunday, will finish up sometime between 9am and noon Monday. (24-27 hours upgrade time.)
