I saw this clip the other day. It was pretty impressive. I am reminded of the definition of 'Travel' - the distance a weapon moves to a target. ... Lots of travel going on here.

Earlier this year, we went on a 'Backstage Tour' at Disney's Animal Kingdom. There were a couple of the parks giraffe's offstage that day. The male was apparently pretty grumpy about something. They wouldn't let us get too close. But we got a lot closer than I recall getting in any other 'zoo'. Giraffe's are BIG. You have to imagine the thumpin goin' on in this clip is pretty severe.

Incidentally, we stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. And it really is the best place to stay at the park. Sit out on your room's patio and watch the animals. Just wonderful.

It's how males fight for dominance - just like deer fight with their horns.
