Just saw a news item on one of the news channels. It was scrolling under the picture. It was from New Jersey, so if anybody is around that area mabey they can give us additional information.

The item was about a petite woman who was attacked by a bear (In NJ?) and got away by giving the bear an elbow strike in the nose. Hey this lady fights a bear, a mugger is a piece of cake, right?...... Looks self defense for women just got a boost.......

I had not heard of the story, but as a lifelong Jerseyan, I can definitely confirm we have bears, especially in the northern part of the state.

Hopefully PETA doesn't decide to prosecute the poor gal.
