As a Wing Chun practitioner, I have to say the slash from the attacker is very unrealistic. You can see the slash coming from a mile away. No one with any intention of cutting you (or with decent knife skills), would take a slash at you like what is illustrated. Try again, and be realistic with the attack, think how you would want to cut someone and not get hurt doing it.

As a side note, when the attacker pointed the knife at the victims face, from my Wing Chun point of view, that would have been the time to immediately take the weapon away using a joint lock and strip to defang the snake so to speak. The attacker had it too close to the victim, giving him time to strip away the knife, in theory, faster than the attacker can react.
