Mud slinging

I would really like to know why there is so much mud slinging in the FMA. I am new to this forum, though I have been in the FMA since the late 80's. Are we so insecure that we must discredit anyone who swings a sword or a stick? Grand Master's calling people out with threats of bloodletting? Followers backing them up! We should all grow up and work together for the good of the FMA. No matter who you are there is no excuse for these high-school antics. As a Christian I have learned to rise above this nonsence.
