CMA manners......?

i live in Calgary, and I am learning wingchun and it's been almost two years
now, sometimes i have this desire to go out to other CMA schools and just
have some friendly sparring with people that are not from wingchun, or at
least doing different wingchun, i think it's important because the chance of
fighting another wingchun fighter on the street is very slim.
but i dont know, i am afraid that people will take it the wrong way and think
that i am there to prove i am better than them.
can anyone more experience tell me if there's a good approach when it comes
to test out your skills on other MAs?
