Ok, so I am going to IRELAND!!! I am psyched.

I am wondering if anyone knows of a credit card that can be used internationally that isn't going to tack a 2 or 3% surcharge onto the exchange rate when you use it in Europe?

Thanks...

I don't... but when I went on a tour of Great Britain last summer, I bought traveler's checks that were already converted to British pounds before I left - it worked out great.

Have a great time - is this a group trip?

I plan on mostly using traveller's checks, but there is a level of convience with credit cards and I don't want to feel hemmed in by a budget. This is my first real on my own vacation and I want to be able to splurge.

Going with a friend as part of an escorted tour. 8 nights, 6 days tour of southern ireland, hitting all the main attractions I want except one, but we are trying to find a way to break away from the group for a day to check it out. I'll actually be there over st. pat's day, but won't be in a major city on that day or checking out a parade or anything...
