Have you guys heard of CERT (Community Emergency Response Team)?

CERT 1 is free training by the local fire department or other first responders.

Yes. It is a program designed to train citizens to assist public safety organizations in the event of a major disaster. People are trained in first aid, light search and rescue, minor fire suppression, and other skills.

Yep. My dad's involved with it in his community in Delaware. Among other things, they give presentations to various community groups about the program.

It's a good program.

Yup, my daughter joined and she's graduating in a couple of weeks. Good program to get involved with.
