What punches does your TKD traininng provide you with.

Backfist
Jab
cross
uppercut
overhand
spearhand
knifehand
palm strike

If you do these punches plus more how often do you really work on proper tech. or is it just a secondary thing to your training.

We also add ridge hand (reverse knife hand) to the list. We tend the work the techniques for forms and breaking only. I work them on my own on my heavy bag as part of my outside training.

Peace,

Hmmm... I'm away from my book, so this may be missing a few things... and from your list, it looks like you're including all hand strikes, not just punches, so here goes:

Forefist punch
Backfist strike
Backfist side strike
Upset punch
Vertical punch
Fingertip thrust (vertical and horizontal)
Roundhouse
Offensive knifehand (horizontal to floor)
Reverse knifehand (ridgehand)
Downward knifehand
Palm heel strike
Upset fingertip thrust
Middle knuckle punch
Long fist
Arc hand (choke)
Cross-cut (eye rake)
Horizontal strike (strike with the back of the hand)

Along with a variety of grabs.
