In Chicago, Mayor Daley is about to be replaced by Rahm, "dead fish" Emanuel. Now Daley is the biggest gun graber you are likely to find running a major city. He hates the concept of decent people protecting themselves with privately owned and carried firearms. Of course, now that he is no longer going to be mayor, he is insisting that the city of chicago provide him with 2 cars and three hired guns to protect him around the clock. Get the hired guns part. That's right. Mayor gun grabber wants 3 men, with guns, to protect him, around the clock. He joins the ranks of several big name lefty gun grabbers, like Rosie O'donnel who detest guns in the hands of other people, unless those other people are their bodyguards. What a jerk.

This has been his policy all along. When he snuck into Miegs Field in the middle of the night and tore out the runways in violation of a court order, he did so under the protection of several highly armed goons, or so the reports in the paper went.

As far as I am concerned it doesn't matter. Our newest corrupt Governor just shot down a reasonable appeal for Concealed Carry again, and now the ISRA, NRA and Illinois Carry are positioned with the help of some female victims to sue the state for Constitutional Carry, and when that happens these guys are ****ed because they wont even be able to set licencening regulations on carry.

I know when the federal carry law for LEO's went into effect, Mayor Daley went on record saying that he would still arrest anyone carrying a gun in Chicago. I talked with officers there (as did many from our local depts.) and we all got the same message back from the cops there. If you are an LEO and are carrying in Chicago, we won't do anything about it (with the caveat that you aren't being a jackass).
