Is this a real Shaolin book? It is purported to be written with the direct influence of the Shaolin Abbott in the early 1900's, Does anyone know if this is true?

From the Amazon page: "The book was written in 1934 with blessing and direct participation of the abbot of the Shaolin Monastery Reverend Miao Xing..."

I have read it, pretty decent book. I believe there are some pdf copies floating around for free. It's a neat historical perspective.

Of interest to me is that many of the exercises are lifting movements that we would use today to train the muscles. There are also many iron body arts to strike various parts of the body and different ways to strike targets to condition body weapons.
