Another SS/ZZ question

I have a really tight right ankle from basketball injuries when I was younger. I never did official physical therapy, but I was doing karate at the time and worked on it through my training and had good results. But over ten years later I was out of training for a few years and the ankle has become very tight, not to the point of affecting everday use, but now that I'm training in Bagua and Xingyi I've found that it's a problem. I've been working on different ways to slowly increase the flexibility in the ankle, but I've only seen marginal progress at best. But now that I'm training in Xingyi I find that standing in Santi Shi really stretches the ankle significantly. My question is whether I should be aware of any specific issues with this, and whether their may be other Zhan Zhuang I should try to help with this issue?
