We look forward to hosting the 9th World Championships in Orlando, Florida, USA in 2006. The opportunity to compete at this world-renowned destination offers WEKAF members and their families the chance for an extraordinary experience.


The city of Orlando and the Walt Disney World resorts have provided an unprecedented combination of services and facilities for this event. Our plan is to incorporate the week-long world tournament event under one roof, keeping travel at a minimum, while offering the entire Orlando area for fun and relaxation during free time.



The WDW Swan & Dolphin resort, hosting the tournament, has reserved ample guest rooms that will accommodate four adults comfortably. Suites are also available at a slightly higher rate, offering extra space for this extended –stay occasion. The resort has several swimming pools with snack bars and children’s play areas, convenience stores, dining choices from fast food to fine-dining, and function space that will more than meet the needs of WEKAF. Shuttle buses, taxies, and car-rental desks are available; enabling visitors the chance to enjoy all that Orlando has to offer. Within the next several weeks, you will be able to book your reservations on line at WEKAF member discount rates for the next World Championships!


Dues-paying WEKAF members will be eligible to book rooms at a rate of $129 per night plus applicable tax, a guaranteed 2006 rate. Family members, friends, and spectators are welcome to join WEKAF for the fun at this tournament. If non-competitors wish to take advantage of the reduced room rate, they may join WEKAF at the annual rate of $20, and will be asked to volunteer at the tournament, helping in such capacities as timekeepers, scorekeepers, equipment managers, or other roles.
