Why did Boxing Survive to be the most popular fighting sport in the world despite mass deaths in World War 1 unlike other Western styles like Savate?

Boxing teaches you take a punch, and to set up for power strikes. Sport MMA is a poor representation of what happens in a brawl. You might kick the leg as a boxer comes in, or punch to the face, but that is not going to stop the closing of the distance. Unless you have rabbit blood running...

What is the Marketing Budget of different Martial Arts Schools?

I will just say, again, that if your idea of growing your business is just filling your student roster, you're just looking for a handful of students, just do some flyers, etc... But that is a very limited view of your profit potential... Why would you not want to monetize your website? Even...

What is the Marketing Budget of different Martial Arts Schools?

That's cool DV , I'm not here to argue with you, and I'm not here to sell to you. I answered the OP in a way that I thought would be helpful. Sorry you did not find it so.

What is the Marketing Budget of different Martial Arts Schools?

What I was trying to say, was that I have 45 other posts, and not one of them had anything to do with pushing a marketing agenda... I was trying to give somebody an idea of cost to hire a professional marketing agency, and what we provide for that kind of service. Now they have a good idea of...

What is the Marketing Budget of different Martial Arts Schools?

"I do not know if you are here trolling to drum up business or genuinely here for martial arts discussion. So far it has been the former. If this is the case your time can be better spent elsewhere." Really Sir? I have what, 45 posts, and this was the first time I ANSWERED a marketing related...

What is the Marketing Budget of different Martial Arts Schools?

Sorry, let me clarify... we build out a brand, so you do have complimentary products to increase your income. That is your cold call focus. We use Geo marketing to target your local and increase student enrollment. Two different means to two different ends

What is the Marketing Budget of different Martial Arts Schools?

True enough, and I realize most are just single location owners... but we do build out other products that you can mass sell, such as books, courses, clothing (we do not design the clothing of course, but we do design the artwork to align with your branding. And, sorry, for what it is worth, I...

What is the Marketing Budget of different Martial Arts Schools?

For sure... But that is not what we do. We build brands and drive traffic. If you are not willing to grow, we will flood you with traffic and clients, and they will just go to waste because you do not have the infrastructure to deal with it.

What is the Marketing Budget of different Martial Arts Schools?

Water Gal: I don't know of any company that is going to generate a couple of thousand niche specific leads a month for you for $200... if you can, hell, do it. And 60 mixed ( 1,200 - 2,500 ) original niche specific articles each and every month is going to cost you waaay more time (read money)...

    Does kicking itself improve flexibility?

Of course it will, to a certain point... not to the splits sort stretch, lol, but say a crescent kick sort of stretch, sure... And I would argue that kicking isn't really dependant upon stretching... you build up your kicks over time with repetition. So if you work say a crescent kick. Over...

What are your main principles in martial art depending on ?

Well, I will give you points for honesty Trigondo... You are not claiming to be something you're not. I'm not much of a weapons guy myself. Sword, Cane, Tanto and pen are what I know and train. I find weapons to have 3 critical drawbacks... you begin to rely upon them more and more, They can...

What are your main principles in martial art depending on ?

I think I know what you are trying to say with that blindside, but, if I am correct, I'm not sure I would agree... I agree, there are "no main principles of martial arts", but I don't agree that all principles are "equally present in martial arts of other countries" For instance, Kung Fu has...

    My Reality Check

LOL, I hear you Jow Ga... I am just tagging 60 now. If I take 3 or 4 weeks off I really notice it. Weights drop and cardio takes a hit. It does not take long to see a decline in conditioning. I find the worst is the torso... If I am out of throws for a couple of months, it is really noticeable.

    Looking for Copyright Information

You would do better to trademark the "name" of the kata or the style (If you made up the name)... For instance, Arthur Murray (Arthur Murray International Inc) owns the trademarked name of all their dances. If you open a dance studio, you cannot, for instance, call your waltz a "Viennese waltz"...

For sure, but IP is much harder to get around and easier to enforce than copy right is... I only have to show that it was bought, donated or created by an agent in my employ for use by the company, or brought in as an asset by any agent or employee of the company. As a side note, ANYTHING...

-MA = martial arts -Of income is Gross income - 6% is on top of the 11. Hapkido doesn't use patterns?

I would not take it that way MTW... I would take it that perhaps their core is from another style and they carried and adapted their forms over into their HKD teachings, which is fine for them. It could mean that they were taught HKD and added their own forms as a way to practice, also fine by...
