No. I have no idea where we agree at all. I provided a list of statements of my ideals. Could you please read it and tell me where we disagree? I really hope it helps progress the conversation.

Martial Arts Weapon Possession Can Be A Felony

Too bad not a ton of personal videos from that time. I would like to see a real fight using kung fu weapons :) Must have been an interesting sight to see though...

In your experience, what would you say is the social class and/or personal wealth of a typical repeat offender?

That is fair point. Hindsight analysis must not include information unavailable to the participants. The only way for people outside of the situation to understand the decisions made by the participants is exhaustive, truthful testimony. Again, testimony is extremely flawed due to all of...

Agree. This website is international. Over the last few days, we have been discussing policing in America because I am American and it seems like most of the people responding to me are American. I could reword the logical series for all national borders, but then we don't talk about American...

I realized something while driving. This conversation is incredibly frustrating because we are talking aboyt details too far away from where we agree. Please indulge me by finding the common ground. At which point do we agree? I did my best to keep it logically linear. We are all humans. We...

Haha. Yes, of course you are not simpletons. But as a discussion drags on for weeks and months, the participants stop communicating and the conversation fizzles. Who has a criminal record? Is that a joke? Sorry, missed it. I didn't even know that was a thing! Thank you. 1/27/17. LOL, now I...

Every day, every person alive is at risk of not going home to our family. The police sign up to be Public Servants knowing the risks of the job. If the officer is too afraid to ensure the citizen's safety over their own, they should not be an officer. Actively shooting? No. Gun in hand? Yes...

This is a conversation forum, not a Research Journal. I will take the advice and do better. It sounds like you are saying, "Don't share your opinion without a huge amount of evidence." I really hope not, but that is how it came across. I understand the competition and did my best to read the...

Take me out of context and you can make me sound worse than Hitler. Sure, but sometimes the officer is the first to use aggression. I completely disagree with initiating violent force. How can you know he will punch you until he swings? I already conceded on the video where the officer was...

Wow. Ok... Sorry if that is the meaning you received. I am not saying all cops are bad. I am attempting to be more subtle than that. And it is the same situation for many of the suspects. Well, there is no such thing as objective as everything can only be viewed in a relative manner. I try to...

    Car Fu

That is the safest route, but it leads to a callous society. Someone asking for help on the side of the road? If I can help, I will. Maybe that is the day I die, but I can't bring myself to ignore others. You called out one of the problems with unmarked police vehicles. I have heard similar...

I am not performing case studies on each event. I did a quick search and watched some videos. News commentary on some of the videos only gets me so far. My research time between posts is maybe 10 minutes. Tough to keep a conversation going if I stop posting for 3 days to gather perfect evidence...

    Opinions on Defense Lab?

Self Defense is a big tent. From throwing sand in the eyes to launching missiles could all be considered Self Defense. Watching these guys reminds me of Crazy Monkey Boxing. Their style is very much about violently stopping the opponent quickly. Looks fine if you like that style.

I do concede that. I hadn't seen an update to the story in a while. I just remember people defending the officer until the observer released the video; some people still tried to defend it.

There is no perfect answer to inexperience. I agree there are flaws with any method other than consult an experienced teacher, but we all know even that has the authority fallacy.

    1. Can't see much, don't know what the call was. Officer may have been told the guy was armed or possibly armed. Maybe he was told that, but the subject does not have a weapon and the officer fires while the subject is removing his earphones. IMO, Officer at fault. 2. Guy was ignoring...

I agree a beginner wouldn't be capable of seeing it. The comments section, the likes, the channel content are all good feedback tools for beginners. Also published texts with good reviews from notable players. Ok. Here goes... Tai Chi 24-form Chen - style (56-form) Sun taiji 73 mouvements...

Like I have stated, I have lived a safe life. Only 2 note worthy interactions: Officer determined blame in a minor traffic accident and allowed me to leave. Officer investigated a threatening phone call. Other than that, personal interactions, mostly at parties, with off duty officers. Traffic...

What MUST be taught in a Self-Defense Course?

Very true. I love attending Self Defense classes after personally training for over 12 years. I do my best not to critique the instructor, but sometimes they are too wrong not to throw in your two cents.

    What the hell is Enlightenment!?

I totally agree that a statistic is only as good as the data. Drilling deep into each scenario is very different than analyzing statistics. Though, I think you missed a few scenarios where an officer is justified in using deadly force according to our court system. 0.0. An unarmed subject who...
