She is wonderful. She is very much wolf in behavior compared to the Husky, but she loves people. Especially woman. My daughter in law is coming to Romania to visit tomorrow and I know Alpha will not leave her alone :D
I have had people, especially women either be a ball of fire, or fall apart totally at any kind of stress scenario. The ones who fell apart had always had something happen to them (assault rape etc). The fireballs were a mix of situations.
It has never been an issue for me personally. So I really don't have an opinion. That is why I am asking. I have just seen so many instances of different responses to attack that it is something of interest to me.
Question and opinion. Is it the art form the person takes, the self defense system or the core belief the person has about themselves and their ability to defend that has the real impact.
I have had students with beautiful technique, power, balance and execution who would not survive an attack...
I will argue that because people learn differently. When I started in the arts it was survival of the fittest, not trying to make the weak strong. My first instructor did not need the arts to be dangerous. But he benefited anyway. Some will want simply information, others more complex. But both...
Pressure point was never intended, in my view to be a complete system. Without a strong self defense system to incorporate their use into, there is little chance of success. When studied correctly, with the right person, the system used is not dramatically changed, just more knowledge added to...
Yes but it does seem to make the lower extremities weaker. This is where they have been told to attack. Mind you if you want to disable someone, dislocation of a knee will do it.
There is a reason for that. It causes a rather euphoric state afterwards. Make the Uki not mind getting hit so much. There is a nerve there, if you slap it when you are tired you get a jolt and feel better for a while. Great when you are driving and tired.
Very cool! I always loved Detroit oddly enough. I remember going to Hudson as a kid with my mom. But I am happy to be here in my sleepy little mountain town.
Hello Everyone!
My name is Art Mason, and I am a "lifetime" (adult lifetime) martial artist from Windsor Ontario Canada who moved with one of his sons almost 2 years ago to Brasov Romania. I was first in Romania in 2010 teaching a seminar and fell in love with the country (a woman too).
I...
I will dispute that one from personal experience in Caracas Venezuela. However, when someone thinks something will not work for them, they are always right!
Those are beautiful pictures! My girlfriend here is dog crazy also and has 2 huskies. From the issues I have scene here over the years in Romania I would never go to a breeder. The government has worked hard to fix thr stray dog problem but still much more needs to be done.
Thanks for sharing...
Thanks for the message. Yes your points are very valid! I have not had any issue getting students, and keeping them because I provide what I offer. There is a lot of crap out there for sure, but in many different avenues of the arts as well. Human nature maybe? I would like to think not.
But...
That is wonderful I love hearing adoption stories. All of mine are former street dogs . The picture below Thor, the little one thinks he is a Husky was left with us at 6 weeks. The white one, Alpha who is an Arctic White Wolf Husky mix became like mom to him. She was abandoned 2 years ago on the...
Hey everyone, my name is Art, I am a Canadian lifetime martial artist now living abroad in Brasov Romania. No I have no Romanian blood. However since moving to Romania almost 2 years ago I have become a dog junkie. Right now I have 4. 2 Huskies, one that thinks he is a husky, and what I believe...
