He agrees with me on that viewpoint... He does think that the bickering amongst styles is pointless. But he also tells me that of everything that he's studied and other programs that he's tried, he honestly feels that USSD is the best.

A lot of people that study at USSD think that. They think that it encompases everything that any other well-known style does. That's why they think it's the best. It's no better than the Mormon church to the Catholic church... It's all just pointless squabbling. I actually had a conversation...

My instructor has been studying martial arts for 15 years. He's been with United Studios for about 8 years. He's a 2nd dan. And he's good. I like him.

They're having me pay the $1,500 entry fee as opposed to the whole $15,000. Anyway, I agree with Hand Sword. Besides, there are plenty of other USSD threads.

There are very few things keeping me there right now. I love the people (in my particular dojo). That's about it.

I love gaming, but as a career? I think not. I get bored with some games too easily, and the pressure of having to play them and being expected to be really good... Just not my thing. I'll stick with gaming as a hobby.

I recieved an email from Shihan Mendoza. He says that with his medical practice he's very busy right now and only does black belt private lessons. He suggested that I contact Sensei Hayes, so I'll probably do that. Of course, he's clear up in Ogden, which is quite a ways... But oh well.
