So you still have the distance issue.
Ok. Will be interesting to see.
That would be great so I can have a look where the problem is.
I look forward to the video.
Pleasure.
You helped so much during the "Hall of Fame" in San Antonio.
This is the least I can do.
Greetings.
Dieter

Hi Mark,
I start from the rear:
yes, it was Sascha, my oldest son.
He is Lakan Isa.
And yes, I recorded them specially for you.
Regarding the size, Sascha is pretty exacly my size. It looks like he is a little taller but this may be a perspective thing or he wears shoes an I don't :-)
My...
OK, I do that too sometimes. But then I end a little different.
You get a #1, circle ccw with the left around the stick ofd the opponent.
Attack with your punyo from youer center to the face of the opponent. He blocks with his left palm.
You hook the hand with the right punyo, go cw to end with...
Nice to hear that we are in agreement.
Ok, I was not sure if you were referring to me.
I do not know who you mean and if he learned from Ernesto after mid of the 90ies or so I agree with you.
Agreed, especially for is seems to be designed after Ernestos death because of the "legacy"

Hi Tim,
In the end of your 2nd interview you said you want to "set the record straight"
Well, I think you missed a few points.
What you described about Modern Arnis, Kombatan and Hinigaran Arnis de Mano is correct, when you see it only from the perspective of 2000 and later.
You said...

German for Duck is "Ente".
But why do you want to know this?
Thanks for the compliment about the disarming techniques.

"But no I didn't buy the dvd. ;)"
You should have bought mine :)
Back home now from a great camp.
I can support all that has been written about.
I was hoping for a good camp (I am a "glass half full" guy) but it was even better as hoped for or expected.
I had to chance to meet several teachers for the first time like Max Pallen, Rick Maglinong, Doug Pierre...
Hi Mark,
Nice to hear.
Well, still, would you accept a beer in Buffalo?
Good. Would be nice to see him again as well.
Sure. I know how hadr it is to get the students there.
This will be no question at all.
I will teach at least 2 Tapi lessons and sure we can do that for you.
Greetings
Dieter
Hey Mark,
Not to forget the Hall of Fame in San Antonio 2 years ago, where you helped me a lot.
I owe you something for your support there
That is very nice to hear.
I hope your wife lets you go....
Looking VERY much forward to see you there and then.
Seeing some of your students there would...
Thumbs up for Mark.
He is very sincere in his studying and one of the most loyal followers of Modern Arnis, and not only of one association or only one Master.
He has trained with so many of the Modern Arnis teachers out there.
So he has a broad knowledge of the different Modern Arnis versions...
Juat a few comments to what I have read in this thread:
1) GM Remy started to train FMA around 1943.
2) He himself claimed the birth year of Modern Arnis 1957, even thugh it was not called Modern Arnis that time.
3) GM Remy left the Philippines in 1975 and, as far as I know, did not go back...
The blend between the Modern Arnis of Ernesto (we quit working with Ernesto in 1993. About 6 years before the renaming of his system to Kombatan) and the Modern Arnis of GM Remy is what we in the DAV do since 15 years.
