    tried some modern weapons

after the traditional weapons i wanted to go on and try modern ones too. so i tried a gun and several rifles like mauser and ar-15. i didn't have experience with that before (except of little bit air rifle), but had some good hits too. :angelic: these aren't mine but from what i've learned...

some training clips (grappling dummy, weapons)

thank you for the feedback. i think with 70 you can box to. surely with less power and andurance, but same is to wrestling. i once met an old lady at work, she told me that she punched someone in the face who tried to steal her bag and he fled then. on your question; stand up grappling dummy...

some training clips (grappling dummy, weapons)

:D well, good boxers should know how important leg strength is, no matter if striking or grappling.

some training clips (grappling dummy, weapons)

its common for many people to bash or associate grappling, escpecially wrestling, with sexual and gay fantasies. i guess, mostly just of jealousy because they know they would be smashed by wrestlers and the like but are to lazy to learn that themselves.

    slingshot exercise

hello! after widen my training with traditional weapons like the bow, i lately also tried the slingshot. anyone else did? as far as i know the slingshot came up much later than bow and other common martial arts weapons.

some training clips (rolling twister, chain punching, weapons etc.)

i'm by no means a beginner at martial arts. but also no "master" respective "blackbelt" in the specific arts. i go on learning from the best (for example a big hapkido & ju jutsu seminar including sword in september) and thats it. it would be constructive if you asked "what is this technique"...

turning back for turning kicks, yes. when you don`t understand, then don't complain. and everyone knows for "real fights" you must be familar with more than one specific "genre". go troll elsewere.

some training clips (rolling twister, chain punching, weapons etc.)

in two hours of sparring, you never get exhausted, right? like i said... forum martial artists... always masters of the universe. :banghead:

some training clips (rolling twister, chain punching, weapons etc.)

oh and it was jikishin kage ryu. but more than the handling i didn't adapt from it and put my "orthodox" stance because i don't like the common sword fighting "south paw" stance. in hapkido they switch often between the two.

some training clips (rolling twister, chain punching, weapons etc.)

at least you didn't got the gun disarm. when the training partner can't pull the trigger in the time from me moving my hands to it and redirect the barrel (except of he just wanting to shoot me without posing), then i wouldn't get shot in this case. not to mention that knife and gun disarming...

some training clips (rolling twister, chain punching, weapons etc.)

aside of the fact i had kenjutsu training (and kobudo for the other weapons) and stolen this sword move from a hapkido form , its obvius you didn't understand the disarming (ju jutsu & krav maga) at all. but yes, its hard to see in few pixels and speed.

    Stupid question number 1.

the difference is, that other guards than the common boxing guard, don't work. when there's just your forearm blocking, the kick might just push it away or you might miss the leg (same btw to punches). when the kick hits your head with having your forearm right before it (so right between...

How to punch more effectively ?

or you give techniques a try you got suggested here.

How to punch more effectively ?

another idea i had for you is trying the "superman punch". at first you raise your knee, so when he stop kicks then, you have your knee check. also the opponent might think you wanna kick and takes down his guard. from there you shoot this leg back and jump forward with the other one and...

How to punch more effectively ?

in karate its called gedan barai, dunno how its in korean: this works well against straight kicks. i don't like that the guard is down then, but there's always an disadvantage in everything. boxing guard is simple: protect your jaw (hands up to it). :D

How to punch more effectively ?

do you know how to block kicks? raising knee, forearm sweep, boxing guard - depending on kick height. only straight kicks can stop you, round kicks shouldn't keep you from coming close (at least when they don't knock you out). example: straight front kick at waist height, sweep it away with one...

man, the uzb vs mgl 65 kilo's wrestling bronze match hahaha did you see that?
  23. MAfreak

    Stupid question number 1.

there are lot of tkd knockouts due to a crappy guard (at least the wtf/"olympic" style) which also could cause broken jaws. a german athlete couldn't participate on this olympics at rio because of a serious eye injury from a match which had to be fixed by surgery to save his eyesight. i wouldn't...

    Observations of Olympic martial arts

when its getting aggressive, tkd looks spectacular. :P but i also wouldn't ever tell someone, this is how to fight. :D even the wrestlers have a better guard and there's not even striking involved. :D

Karate in the 2020 Olympics! (Is it good or is it bad?)

i'm not sure about it. its pretty much the same as taekwondo. why do they need it there? but okay, there is also greco roman wrestling plus freestyle wrestling plus judo, which are similar.

    Observations of Olympic martial arts

its very similar. the differences between wkf karate (which combat part is basically shotokan, no matter what style you normally train) and tkd in a nutshell: - no full contact - less spectacular kicks - more hand strikes (but just straight and backfist, but no spinning backfist) - foot sweeps...

    Observations of Olympic martial arts

then you'll love wkf karate when its in! :D i gave every combat sport a chance (to watch it), boxing bored me most. tkd isn very good also, thats true. sabre fencing was not bad. :D
