Not much of a surprise that it has been removed. Who wants to share now a days. sad, sad, sad. and we were moving so far forwards with our sharing over the past few years.

    Pinans and SKK

SGM Pesare does call them Pinans now -- and what we refer to as #1 pinan - he still teaches (modified - no more 180 degree turns) But calls it a line drill that students need to learn before they earn their white belt. This is what he has told me about 2 years ago. Jesse

    Hung Gar vs. Villari

not sure what you mean. The bunkais I had in the forms the way I originally learned them would not longer fit because I am doing the forms the original way now from SGM Pesare. so I had to change those things because certain movements are now different. And going to the palama forms has...

    It doesn't matter. (???)

I use some of the line drills from the forms that relate back to the Heiens(sp) that they came from. But not to much, I was in the process of cutting back on some of the material that came in after the system was started. I am at a place in time that I do not want a million forms anymore...

    It doesn't matter. (???)

This is why i got rid of the Pinans in our school, they are so far removed from the original that the only battle testing that they got were those on paper.

    SKK Combos and Various Attacks

or their groin? Def. hit the nerve bundle where their gastroc. (calf) and soleus meet. Give a good tuck on that nerve and they lift their hips off the ground themselves -- JDokan you should check out the seminar I have coming up on Nov. 6th and 7th.

    SKK Combos and Various Attacks

Combination #11. After the take down I wrap up the leg like a headlock. My forearm (radial bone) is in the middle of their calf and foot is all the way through my lock. I see some schools just hold the foot with their hands after take down. What do the people here do?

    Larry Tatum Kenpo Form 4

I do not know the forms to well from the System but I do have a question. Towards the end of the form he goes to his knee twice for a technique. On one side his down foot is in passive position and on the next transition his down foot is in active stance. Are they supposed to be the same or...

    SKK Combos and Various Attacks

I do the downward rake and kick them in the face, landing in right over left twist. I then pause and watch downed opponent, if they are no longer a threat i continue my cross and cover.. if they are still twitching I uncross stepping near their outer hip with right leg and then one more step...

    SKK Combos and Various Attacks

I do it slightly different, after the step through we do a downward elbow right above the elbow on the end of the Tricep and then a cross body shuto to the back of the neck followed by a grab of their left shoulder. The grab is crucial if you are doing the spinning hook kick after the stomp...

    Hansuki (Tiger Form)

there are a few things in the Ke?po world that I would like to see set straight while we still can. In the past I have talked to Master Chun, Jr. about this form and how his father created it. I have never seen the original version, but I have seen the multiple versions that have sprung from...

    Hung Gar vs. Villari

In respects to the Kata's taught from SGM Pesares line, I found it very useful to go back to him and learn them the original ways - same with the combinations. It also allowed me to build a line from where and who changed parts of the forms all the way from Pesare - cerio - Villari -masters -...

no email him, Im just a contributor. I was just saying that he is real busy now so not sure if hes going to be on any time soon. I was also adding to what you said about being able to post things on his page through a different portal. IMO that could lead to some possible problems on what...

will kenpo eventually evolve into a new MA or form

I will not steal the name from him, but a good friend of mine has said to me that he plans on taking what he has learned from all his different forms of Kenpo/Kempo and was going to name his new style, "Kempo" unique huh? not american, shaolin, chinese, japanese, hawaiian, hawaiian shaolin --...

    Original Attacks in SKK

As an instructor I know its difficult to run a group class that works for all students. Group classes have to be structured to everyone in the class so some students unfortunately get less of a training experience then others due to their skill level, unfortunate but reality, you can't teach too...

    Original Attacks in SKK

refer to last sentence of last post for answer on straight punches. as for #2, the tech. taught for the straight punch and roundhouse are the same - which in my opinion(we not what this means) it works better with the roundhouse scenario.

    Original Attacks in SKK

Mike, i dont understand, that is the point. The tech. works better off the overhand right. In SKK we have tried to make all the techs. work off the straight punch, and it does not seem right to me and it def. does not help the students all the time. I have heard the comment about if you can...

    Original Attacks in SKK

I was told that combo #2 was originally done off a overhand right - left foot forward. As for Sijo Gascon creating the first 26 combinations I would have to hesitate on that one. I do believe that there are techs. in there that he taught but i am not sure which ones. SGM Pesare taught me some...

    When Would You Fight/Defend Yourself?

I have always been a protector I guess, If i saw someone as early as elementary and middle scholl being bullied I stuck my nose where i did not need to. just my nature. Now later on when threats arrived and it was just me I would usually laugh and talk my way out of it. It has always seemed...
