    OK well we are on the same page but from his post it did not seem that he has a lot of tools. So a 1095 stock removal is a cheep fast reliable sharp blade...... but yea I have 3 leaf springs just waiting by my forge to be reborn :)

    you'll get that with different philosophies.... for instance, If you talk "finishing move" in my old school, Master Young will look at you like your stupid. I have seen that phrase thrown around a lot here :) We train to keep going until the other guy stops moving.

    Oh forearm strikes are very effective. They are versatile also, not only can you cause damage you can also drive them back with minimal effort. they are one of those things where you cant appreciate them until you experience them ... like open hand hits.

    I would say try each one for a month watch an advanced class or 2 then decide for your self.

    I would never use saw blades.... a lot of the newer blades have carbide tips for cutting and the rest of the saw is crap steel (as far as blades go anyhow) a file would be ok if you are forging... Leaf springs are good IF you have a good grinder and a forge as they tend to be HEAVY AND THICK...

    Coming from a small school my old master was a pro at this kind of situation. We were all shown one move and then the master would move around the room and make adjustments and the more advanced students would have things added to the moves. For example If we were doing some attack parry combo...

    Iron Bone

    Iron training is a LONG gradual thing DIT DA JOW is great but not required it helps with healing but the existent of its effectiveness is debatable (but I still use it) If your turning your limbs into calloused clubs YOUR DOING IT WRONG.... I just concentrate on my striking and blocking surfaces...

    Throws that can end a fight

    Well first off the throw is NOT a finishing move. Throws are to meant to disorientate your enemy and gain advantage. They should never be trained as the finishing move. Granted there are throws where they MAY land on their head/neck but even then, if its that kind of fight (fight for your life)...
