All is well, hope all is well with you as well. I don't spend much time on MT these days
Yes I definitely feel that. And I definitely have to take my time to find someone who really is about training to get better. I wish I was closer to you. I really feel like I could learn so much from you.
I'm sure it will. I'm trying to soak up any solid information anyone is willing to share. I'm grasshopper status for real and I'm cool with that.

Beginner is the only thing to ever be, you learn more that way.
Glad to see you on MT, there are a lot of knowledgeable folks here

Thank you. I'm glad to be here. I share what my mindset is as it pertains to martial arts. I truly feel like the best way for me to learn is to offer myself as a body for practice. This way a higher rank belt can sharpen his/her skills and I can increase my ability to absorb kicks, flips and punches by feeling what proper technique looks like. Should I not think in this manner?

You need to practice, but not get hurt. If your gut doesn't think something is right, go with your gut.

You need people who want to help you train and to train with, you are nobodies kicking pad.

You are simply there to learn
Sorry, the things you write; sound exactly like ideas I've been taught.

The way we define Hung Gar is strong stance, power issued to the extremities; through the Dan Tien. Sound familiar?

I don't meet many other people who have strong training. I would have to say, you do. I hope we could chat more.

    Good Day...

The majority of my training is Taijiquan and XIngyiquan and I have been taught power comes from the root, is directed by the waist and goes to the fingers (or wherever else you want it to go). Most schools of Internal martial arts teach that.

    Interesting...

My Sifu would say good Kung Fu is just good Kung Fu.

All martial arts should have proper body mechanics and energy.

I think these basics have been lost over the years, due to people simply studying from video, not touching hands, etc; not really knowing.
