I have been training since summer 2006. I started in Shuri-Ryu karate and Kodokan judo (focused largely on newaza) for about 2 years, then moved and focused on my judo at a dojo that focused more on competition for another 2 years while practicing karate at home, before finding a good Shorin-Ryu karate dojo, where I currently train. I have trained a little with some people of different arts, including some weapons work, but Okinawan karate and judo are my base arts. Recently, I also began training in KishimotoDi--a rare Shuri-Te system.
