I like martial arts, and a part of me would love to dive into training for competition. But I've taken inventory of my life: where I'm at, future goals, and asked myself how much time do I have - and how do I want to spend that time?

What am I looking for out of martial arts? I want peace, harmony, an approach on life that compliments the man I want to be. I find that I keep coming back to Tai Chi, Qigong, and Wing Chun, and would also like to learn Aikido. At 40 y.o. I am still just a 'grasshopper' in the arts, but I hope to start training again soon. IMO - too many people are drawn to martial arts only to learn how to fight others; not realizing that the biggest battle to be won is within themselves.
