that guy is actually not too far away from where my folks live.
he has been popping up in the media every once in a while. I am sure the gross-out factor plays a roll...
But he has made some interesting observations.
I am surprised to hear he is 79...but then again, he was already an old fool 20 years ago

I have heard of this fellow - I am more than a little surprised to discover he hasn't been killed yet, as happened to that chap who hung around with bears for too long! I guess wolves are more pack orientated than bears and if he gets into the hierarchy high enough he saves himself from getting 'tested' too much.

I think the animals he has by now are descendants from the ones he raised. but at one point he said, he was bitten in the face...clearly overstepping his bounds, and it was not a vicious bite but a reprimant.

But as the old gray wolf ages....he might find himself faced with the last challenge yet....
