Who would you ask?

Out of curiosity....

If you could get training advice from 3 late martial arts masters, who would you pick?

In no particular order, I'd pick:

1. Kenji Tomiki (because he trained under Kano and Ueshiba)
2. Bruce Lee (because he was a true maverick)
3. Florendo Visitacion (because he influenced some of my favorite martial artists).

i see some votes for musashi...he was a great swordsman as history attests...but i don't see him as being a great teacher...you don't see a musashi ryu around...what is left are his theories on conflict in general...it is my feeling that what he accomplished was done through natural talent and lots of hard work....the best martial artists aren't always the best teachers

I think that just because there is no "musashi ryu" doesn't mean that he would not make a good teacher. Just through his writings you can see this man talents. It was his choice not to take on students, but if he had I feel there would be a "musashi ryu" and people would be going crazy to see it.

In this order

1) The Lopez family they own Olympic TKD right now!

2) Bruce Lee true visioary

3) Anybody that has been training longer than me for they will know something, that I would not know.
4) and last but not least GOD for he truely knows everything!!!!!!
