I hope you succeed :bows:.

I was most touched by his words, for they rang so true to my own experience. I have said myself that current cancer treatment is medieval; we essentially irradiate and poison the patient and hope the cancer dies first.

Not all chemotherapy is as bad as what my wife had to endure but I essentially had to abet the process of torturing the light of my world for the last three months of her life. I was her 'nurse' and dietician at home and ambulance driver back and forth. I had to motivate and cajole, nag and push her to do so many things that made her ill and hurt her ... the worst being having to put on that 'brave face' that it was all going to work out, that we would beat it and have our lives together into our dotage as we had expected. If we had had the choice last November, knowing what was going to happen, we both would have refused the treatment and just taken what time we had left, using it as best we could. Maybe it would have been worse to let the disease take her without trying to fight it but I don't see how.

So here's to some real progress at defeating this thief-of-futures that is cancer.

And good luck to him. Anything that helps produce more efficient and effective treatment should be encouraged.
