Has anybody tried a U-notch rear? Something like a Warren or a 10-8? I'm thinking about trying one on my M&P. The benefit is that the round bottom is less distracting to the eye when lining up the top corners of the front and rear (the ony corners you see are the ones you should be looking at) and some even say its intuitive to line up a round fiber optic or tritium front to the round bottom.

When I bought the XS sights recently, it was a tossup between those and a set of the Warrens with the U-notch. I haven't tried the Warrens since I bought the XS sights.

If you're interested, there is a big thread at TotalProtectionInteractive about these sights and the impressions from people who have used them.

I don't have them on any of my pistols, but a buddy of mine swears by 'em, and I have to say I like them too. For defensive purposes I like the XS sights better. If I were still shooting a lot in IDPA I'd being using them though.
