Having had an interest in this sort of thing since I was a boy being shown Jupiter with my uncles telescope, even now the universe has the ability to make my oh-so-civilised-and-smart jaw drop with amazement.

IC1011, a galaxy in our neighbourhood is ... how big!!!!? Six million light years across! Absolutely staggering.
